El Burro Veloz Taco Bar, owned by Ivan Barron, is a new Mexican restaurant located in the Williamson Ranch Plaza near Walmart and Fellowship Church in 4815 Lonely Trees Road.

He is named after his grandfather’s nickname, Veloz. Ivan told how his grandmother used to make and sell food in her front yard in Mexico, but couldn’t get it delivered to workers at a nearby manufacturing plant who only had a half-hour lunch break . So his grandfather said, “The burro veloz will help.” Literally translated as “fast donkey”, grandfather referred to himself on his bike, and he delivered the fresh food.

Ivan’s mother, sister and brother all work with him at the restaurant. They too have started making tacos at home, but in their garden. It’s their first restaurant.

Stop by today and try authentic and fresh Mexican tacos, gorditas, burritos, quesadillas, tortas and more. Also, horchata, jamaica or another refreshing and fruity drink. They are open Monday to Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
