Arya Razi launches Mexican restaurant MXO near Euston station

On Euston Square, in the space that once housed VQ, MXO offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a late-night bar serving cocktails and agave-based drinks.

Head chef Santiago Gomez Marrero oversees the menu, which previously worked under Eduardo ‘Lalo’ García of Restaurant Pujol and Adriana Cavita when she cooked at Peyotito London in Notting Hill, as well as Bodega Negra.

Located right next to Euston Station, the restaurant serves Mexican favorites such as tacos, tostadas, and chicken al pastor, as well as barbecued lamb shank and adobo brisket.

Ingredients will come from a mix of specialist UK and Mexican suppliers.

The Agave Bar offers a wide range of Tequila and Mezcal-based cocktails, as well as wines from Mexico and South America.

In addition to a 50-seat restaurant, MXO will also launch two private dining rooms that can seat up to 10 and 12 people.

MXO follows the success of Mexican restaurant Caldera de Razi in Hackney, which opened in 2019.

“I’m really excited to open MXO. Not only are we excited about the food, which will offer guests something familiar and different at the same time, but we look forward to showcasing our extensive selection of mezcal-based and agave-based tequila cocktails,” says -he.
