How this Mexican resort is adapting to the Caribbean Journal

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, one of Mexico’s premier resorts, has announced an “aggressive” new health and safety plan to prepare for the return of travelers.

Puerto Morelos’ new beach hotel plan focuses on a number of key points: enforcing social distancing “at all times”, with face masks to be worn in areas of most social contact.

Customers will use an app to register and verify, as well as make requests and view activity programs.

Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed in areas of “greatest contact” between customers and staff; the property will also perform “high frequency” disinfection of all contact points such as doors, tables, lounge chairs, etc.

The establishment will also use a new disinfection system for its rooms.

The catering and bar service will implement ‘enhanced’ disinfection of all raw materials at the source, while staff will wear masks and all buffets have been replaced with individual service stations where staff will serve guests. .

All staff will wear masks and gloves.

“Since opening our doors, Grand Residences has adhered to strict cleaning measures that keep a complex pristine at all times. Our top priority remains to create a healthy and safe environment for our guests and staff, ”said Daniela Trava Albarran, General Manager of Grand Residences Riviera Cancun. “We have adapted our reception and our services to respect a safety distance while simultaneously increasing cleaning measures, while maintaining the high level of friendliness and sincerity synonymous with the resort.”
