Lowe completes development of 550 Mason units and main apartments in the planned community of Yesler Terrace in Seattle

SEATTLE – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Lowe, a national developer, investor and property manager, has completed the second of two nine-story towers totaling 550 apartments with approximately 6,800 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 315 parking spaces located in Mason and Main development in the 30 acre transit oriented, planned Yesler Terrace community. The first tower of 335 units was completed in June 2021 and is expected to be completed in mid-2022, while the second tower of 215 units is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2022.

The Mason and Main community is part of the complete 1940s Yesler Terrace redevelopment, which includes a mix of public and private developments providing housing, office space, and a host of neighborhood amenities.

Mason and Main’s 550 apartments range from studios to two bedrooms, with 26.5 percent designated as affordable. As part of its development, Lowe is also creating an adjacent pocket park.

The residences will be equipped with modern fittings and finishes and some units will offer private patios or balconies. Both buildings will offer residents a wide range of common spaces and amenities. Outdoor spaces include rooftop decks and lounges with expansive views of Mount Rainer, downtown Seattle and beyond, green rooftops, several courtyards equipped with barbecues and seating, and a community vegetable patch. Many indoor gathering areas include ‘sky’ lounges providing upper level spaces with striking views of the area for community events, a media center, games room and theater, workshop / hobby room, and a lounge for residents. Residents will also have access to a fitness room, a dog walking and grooming area and co-working spaces.

Mason et Main is located at 209 12e Ave S and 1020 S Main St. at Yesler Terrace, which is in the First Hill neighborhood near downtown Seattle. The community is within walking distance of a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options as well as the area’s new streetcar line. As part of the redevelopment, Yesler Terrace will have a large central park, performing arts center and community center.

Mason and Main was designed by Ankrom Moisan Architects. Compass is the general contractor.
