Mexican restaurant which is one of the best places to eat outside of London and serves food until surprisingly late
A Mexican restaurant in North London is one of the best places to eat outdoors in the capital. The Mexican spot offers “awesome” late-night tacos.
Casa & Plaza Pastor is part of the beloved Pastor group of Mexican taquerias. Found in King’s Cross, they are said to serve “first class guacamole”.
It has been listed as one of London’s best outdoor restaurants by CN Traveler. Perfect for the unreliable British summer, it’s a huge space with blankets, heating and an indoor section.

Serving their legendary tacos, guacamole, Mexican sharing plates and more, Plaza Pastor is a spacious covered patio in Coal Drops Yard. Creating a fabulous party vibe, they also host live music and DJ programs on the weekends.
Sitting next to the indoor restaurant, Casa Pastor, you can enjoy tacos late into the night with last orders not until 10:45 p.m. (and 7:45 p.m. on Sundays). Expect toppings like their favorite Al Pastor for £8.25 – 24-hour marinated pork shoulder, grilled pineapple, 3 salsas; avocado-serrano pepper taquero, morita and verde fresca.
There is also chicken for £8, mushrooms for £8 and prawns for £11.50. Shared between two and four people, you can get a large plate of filling with fresh bottomless tortillas. They have short ribs for £32, sea bream for £32, carnitas for £24 and stuffed poblano for £23.
Of course, a visit to Plaza Pastor wouldn’t be complete without a margarita, and they offer all kinds of flavors. There’s a Breakfast Margarita for £11, Hibiscus & Honeydew for £10.75 and Spicy Mango for £10.75.
